My Dad and his wife visited from Cheshire and had a wonderful time. They loved the grounds, the place was spotless, and Sharon was a fantastic host. The room was amazing and wow, what a view! They enjoyed listening to the history of the place and would definitely return (for a room with a bath next time)! Thanks Sharon!

Location was perfect with plenty of free parking. The rooms are beautifully decoratored, clean, comfy beds, and comes with lots of lovely little touches that really make you feel welcome such as bottles of water, amazing biscuits and even a personalised notebook. Other family members were staying up the road and were gutted when I showed them pictures because they wished they had booked in here instead. Thank you for a great stay will will be back

I had a wonderful experience at the Sunshine Apartment! The owner and staff were extremely kind. My kids even received Easter egg gifts during our stay. It is a lovely place to stay.

The location was brilliant for getting to numerous places easily. The shepherds hut was a really peaceful place to stay , nice and quiet, Which is what I was wanting most of all. I would definitely stay there again.

    There are some community gardens just down the road which...

    There are some community gardens just down the road which were a total delight. Well worth a walk around. Met some lovely people which walking the dog, and one kind gent even took my poop bag for me as he said there wasnt any in the direction we were walking ! Lovely neighbourhood :)

    Belper is a nice town with all the amenities you would need.

    Belper is a nice town with all the amenities you would need. Good pubs and dining along with the usual takeaways. Its a good location buy the river and has some gardens too. Easy to pick up the A6 to Matlock (15mins) & Bakewell.

    Belper is a most interesting place to stay for those with an interest in local history. We ate at the Devonshire about a 5 minute walk from where we stayed. Probably not an ideal place for someone to stay whio might have a disability.

    Belper is a lively place.

    Belper is a lively place. Full of industrial history and lots of community stuff going on. Some good bus connections and a railway station too. Plenty of place to shop, eat, drink. Maybe not too many places to stay so worth a browse while planning a visit.

    Belper is a large town with a good range of shops and cafes.

    Belper is a large town with a good range of shops and cafes. It is also served by a train station, with regular trains to Matlock, Nottingham, Derby etc. The River Derwent runs through Belper and there are river walks as well as a river garden, with a cafe and boating facilities. Belper is within easy reach of a lot of other very scenic places in Derbyshire, and as such is highly recommended as a base from which to explore.

    Belper is a fine place to visit.

    Belper is a fine place to visit. The town - a World Heritage site - has a fascinating and well-preserved industrial history. We enjoy walking and there are plenty of enjoyable walks in the countryside around Belper and, for anyone who fancies traveling further afield, the Peak District National Park is just a short car, bus or train ride away. And, for a town of its size, Belper is blessed with a surprisingly good choice of restaurants and pubs

    Had a quick one night stay here, nice room, good location and we did managed a few hours out around Belper itself which we enjoyed, excellent Indian restaurant across the road from here 👍 I would use this place again and hopefully have more time to stay longer next time.
