FAQs about hotels in Blackpool

Beside the Seaside, Beside the Sea

A favored vaction spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.

On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!

More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognizable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modeled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.

A popular bachelor and bachelorette destination, Blackpool has accommodations ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

The Imperial Hotel restored my faith in Blackpool Hotels.

The Imperial Hotel restored my faith in Blackpool Hotels. Alas, so many untidy/run-down former shops & stalls scattered intermittently along the promenade. However, Blackpool is Blackpool & it does what it says on the tin.

There seems to be a lot going on for younger people.

There seems to be a lot going on for younger people. Pleasure beach theme park looked amazing, beach is huge and the promenade looks very clean and nice. We have found few interesting buildings to check out, but it seems there is much more going on in the evenings and nights than a day time. For us it was one and only visit to Blackpool as we prefer nature close quiet stays, but it was definitely interesting to see. The main promenade was nice, but the back streets were dirty, derelict and sad looking.

Place is full of junkies and derelict buildings. Only about 2 decent places to eat and every attraction overpriced. Never be back. Only good thing was the Magic show in Russ Browns house of secrets

We love Stanley park Such a great park it's unequalled anywhere in Britain. The zoo is superb as is the model village. Having visited Blackpool for many years (73 in all) I feel the centre does not have the appeal that it did in my childhood.Neverthelesd I would recommend a visit to Blackpool There are endless places to eat massive choices to suit every pocket.A great place to visit

The city has several attractions, I recommend the Blackpool Tower for its beautiful views, there are three piers and each one captivates with its attractions, a walk along the promenade is pure pleasure, but the rest of the city looks underinvested and dirty, it's a pity that there is no investment in this city because it could bring more benefits and tourists.

for the money, it's excellent. you can easily pay £100 a night for a very basic hotel room these days- and the Coco Beach, watched over by its proprietor Jay, offers "cheap and cheerful" traditional Blackpool seaside lodgings at their classic best. Don't: expect a private jacuzzi in your room. Do: enjoy a "best of British" seaside getaway without breaking the bank.

The hotel was spotless, and the hosts were so lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had in blackpool. Sitting out on the front with a drink was a lovely sun trap. Car park a street away that was £9.50 for 24 hours Defo be back here. Thanks for a great stay!!!

Good location for the train station and easily walkable to the seafront/town centre. The owners very good hosts and most welcoming. Although a short trip this time, I would definitely book this hotel for future stays in Blackpool. Highly recommended.

Great property with parking close by, a little walk into central Blackpool but there’s a Tram stop literally 2 minutes away. Hotel clean and everything you needed was provided. We must say the hosts were great and the breakfast was fantastic.
