Customer service was exceptional. The nicest receptionist from Portugal, and a special mention for Irene, who was so lovely making sure I knew where and when food was available, plug sockets for my laptop and plentiful tea and biscuits when I had to get some work done after checkout. Room was huge with sofa and very comfy bed. Bath and powerful shower - not the most modern bathroom but well equipped and absolutely spotless. Breakfast was brilliant. Plenty of room around the hotel, lovely setting. I didn’t use the pool / sauna etc so can’t comment on this. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful relaxing hotel, check in staff member was amazing, so friendly and attentive and even upgraded us to a superior room because it was our first time staying. Breakfast was delicious, very relaxing. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful, lovely area and within striking distance of everything.

    Blackrod is a small village on the outskirts of Bolton.

    Blackrod is a small village on the outskirts of Bolton. There are a few pubs, Flounders Fish and Chip shop, a very nice coffee shop - both had great staff - there is also a few other shops within walking distance. Major Supermarkets are fairly close by too, along with shopping at the Middlebrook complex
