On arrival, the receptionist quickly checked us in and showed us to our room. This was not in the main building but across the road. The room was warm, fully stocked with treats and homely with all mod cons. Breakfast was served in the main building and up some fairly steep stairs. It was a buffet style with hot food to order. Staff were very helpful and went the extra mile.

Caravan had everything you could need and more. Perfect for families having 3 bedrooms and a cot and games etc. We really loved the free bottle of bubbly and water etc it was a lovely touch. The hosts communicated well all the time and when we couldn’t find the remote for the living room TV they turned up with a new TV. The bed was very comfy and there were plenty of spare duvets. This caravan was definitely value for money making it a very reasonably priced holiday for a young family with kids. Thanks so much for letting us stay and your hospitality.

The site was extremely quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was an excellent feature. Had a calm walk through the woods surrounding site. The caravan was warm and cosy. It had everything we needed home from home. Provided cleaning materials to use. Books were available and Tv had Netflix too.

We loved our stay here . They could not do enough for us . The rooms were really comfortable. They even prepared a Gluten free breakfast . The staff were really friendly and helpful and breakfast lovely . Would not hesitate in recommending as a place to stay .

Before leaving the UK we needed to book a night close to the ferry. Our selection was based on price, but the B&B exceeded our expectations. We had a nice diner in the pub/restaurant which is part of the B&B. The staff is very friendly. The room is spacious, clean and cosy.

    Not much in Blanchland , but what is there is lovely.

    Not much in Blanchland , but what is there is lovely. The White Monk Tea Room is great worth trying there pie's and cakes they were fantastic. The Lord Crewe Arms was a great pub and had some great guest ales, restaurant was busy so would recommend booking ahead to avoid disappointment. The area is lovely with a 5km walk starting within the village, and loops around but gives some great views. Great base for travelling to nearby sites such as Hexham, Durham and some sights of Hadrian's Wall. Locals were lovely.

    very pretty old village with a couple of shops but ideally located for visiting surrounding area. Quaint windy country lanes with glorious views over Derwent Reservoir. All countryside in area very pretty and wonderful views. Many places of all kinds to visit and a vast numer of walks both long and short.
