I loved everything about our stay. The property is set in a fabulous countryside setting, immersed in nature in a tranquil, quintessential village. It was everything I hoped for and was looking for in my visit in the Cotswolds. The grounds of the property are just beautiful - we were able to enjoy them thanks to the beautiful weather in April - walking around and reading books in the garden enjoying the sun. The interior of the property was nothing short of cozy & welcoming - we enjoyed some tea in the bar and was just lovely. As this was an anniversary trip, the hotel upgraded our room which was a very much appreciated gesture on their side. Our room was comfortable, airy and large with room to put our luggages and replenished daily with tea and cookies. Breakfast was fantastic as well - with cold and food options available. A note of mention goes to the wonderful staff which was welcoming, warm and helpful throughout all our stay - even leaving a note in the room for our anniversary. We left the property refreshed and very happy. I personally did much research ahead of our trip to the Cotswolds and if you're like me, I'll say stop - pick this hotel and don't go any further. Should I come back to the Costwolds, this will be my first accomodation choice.

Broadwell is a quiet, quaint little village with a good pub, The Fox. There is virtually no traffic to contend with. A big Tesco is 10 minutes away if you need supplies. Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the water and other famous towns are close by. Several National Trust properties are also in the area.

Broadwell is a perfect spot for a Cotswold holiday.

Broadwell is a perfect spot for a Cotswold holiday. It is a community and not a tourist destination, yet it is only 2 miles from Stow-on-the-Wold. Travel 1/2 mile off the main highway down a tree-covered lane and you emerge into a different self-contained world. Charming honey-colored stone cottages surrounding a village green with a stream running through it. There's even a pub. From here you can easily explore the heart of the Cotswolds. We had good meals at the two pubs in Oddington (Lower and Upper). Kelmscott Manor was an outstanding display of William Morris textile designs with beautiful gardens. Snowshill Manor has a quirky and eclectic collection of old items, and the gardens and grounds are wonderful. Sudeley Castle is a surprising site with a lengthy history that is told through the buildings and their occupants. Very beautiful.

A perfectly formed cottage, with all the comforts of a luxury hotel. Only niggle for some basic needs: no paper towels in the kitchen. Bathroom had no shampoo or conditioner as described in the welcome pack. An 11:00 checkout would have been nicer as in most places. Considering we couldn’t not check in until 4pm so in reality we booked two days but only had 24 + 18 hours stay
