Very friendly and welcoming staff. The decor was great. The pub has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are equally well designed and decorated and very comfortable place. I interesting menu and great food. Breakfast great also.

Everything about Nutsford House is exceptional. Amanda and James go a wonderful job of maki g you feel welcome and comfortable. We were greeted with a lovely homemade scone and tea. Our room was airy and light with beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious with accommodations made for my husband’s gluten allergy. Amanda and James are absolutely wonderful. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Nutsford House!!

I had dinner here and you know when you really suddenly find a place and absolutely love it but you wonder what it's gonna be like to actually stay there... it was amazing. The rooms and the detail of the historic restoration make it so cozy but it's so friendly. It's chic but not stuffy or pretentious. That's what makes it wonderful. Not just friendly to people but really dog friendly. So you're there in the most stunning setting. It's like being in heaven- you're in wild and wooly, romantic Exmoor where you can sit out on the terrace perched high above a stream and look out. Or go out and walk in the countryside. It's secluded but conveniently located to be able to go down to Exeter or up somewhere else onto the coast. It's just perfect and the restaurant is fantastic and well worth the detour to just to go to the restaurant. I can't wait to come back again and most guests come back year after year...

The location was perfect opposite the village car park with a donation charge of 50p. The accommodation was perfect with all the expected facilities and more. The pub and accommodation were both immaculately clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. Would definitely choose to stay again if visiting the area.
