Placed in a beautiful setting in the foothills of the 'Peaks' amongst well kept gardens and parading peacocks making their presence felt. I was expecting a Best Western type venue but what I got was the kind of individual service attention only found in luxury hotels. Dating back to 1581 the reception area was black oak beams, stone chimney-pieces and antiquity. The dinner was beautifully cooked finished with hot apricot pudding dessert.
