What a gem! Would have loved to stay longer. The hostess was super helpful and kind, the bed comfy and the estate with a regal feel to it, very old school british, the breakfast superb and i loved the whole experience. Best value for the money spent, would definitely recommend to a friend.

The building is a beautiful traditional inn hid away in the Dorset countryside. The inclusive breakfast is as it should be. The proprietors and staff are kind and helpful. Allow plenty of time to drive there to allow time in the comfortable cosy bar.

Very comfortable, stylish and welcoming. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent room, comfortable bed, quiet location. The menu for the evening meal was varied and interesting and the dishes we ordered were excellent. Breakfast was also perfectly cooked. The pub was lively but relaxed, somewhere to enjoy the evening.

    Charminster is a small village in Dorset.

    Charminster is a small village in Dorset. The village has a characteristic Old English atmosphere and is full of charming historic cottages. We ate at the Sun Inn and at The Gamekeeper - both are excellent. As long as you have a car, it's easy to get around. For us the best activity in Charminster was walking.

    Charminster is only a small village and the only facility is...

    Charminster is only a small village and the only facility is the Sun Inn which was excellent for evening meals. The Inn is only a short distance from Little Court. Charminster is only a short distance from Dorchester which has a lot of facilities both attractions and places to eat. It was unfortunate that during our stay the road into Dorchester was closed due to roadworks and the diversion route was quite long.

    It is a beautiful hotel in a quiet and ideal location for visiting the area, with friendly and very proffesional staff. The room was a great size with quality furnishings, both the room and bathroom were immaculate. Good choice for breakfast and the food was delicious. Will certainly stay again if l am in the area.

    The hotel is a fantastic small Arts and Crafts hotel. It was authentic and cosy not a homogeneous chain. It had charm, the owner was attentive and the team were welcoming and just a lovely.
