As soon as we arrived, Paul & Kay, our hosts, made us feel very welcome. Their guest house is beautiful and relaxing, and the attention to detail is amazing. The bed and pillows (you get a choice) are super comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent! The guest house is close to pubs, small eateries and walking trails, and the iconic Ironbridge Gorge. Paul & Kay also shared many other things to see and do nearby. We do highly recommend The Viaduct Guest House.

My partner and I stayed at the Riverside Inn the night before my brother's wedding at a venue nearby. The room was gorgeous and cosy, with lovely views of the river. What really made the stay even more special was how helpful the staff are. The morning of the wedding was full of mishaps, from not being able to get a taxi to my partner locking himself out of the room just before he had to leave for the ceremony! The Riverside Inn staff took it all in their stride and were so kind and helpful. Special thanks to David, who organised a locksmith and then drove my partner's things to the venue once he'd managed to get into the room! I cannot recommend them enough and would love to stay again some day.

Very comfortable quite room, we had 14 for dinner which was a late booking and the food and staff was excellent. Breakfast offered great choice, only disappointment the kitchen manager closed breakfast service without consultation while we were still ion the restaurant.

    Both Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale are fascinating places to...

    Both Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale are fascinating places to visit, especially if you are interested in the role they played in the Industrial Revolution. They have so much more to offer as well - the beautiful higgledy-piggledy cottages and houses built to cling onto the sides of the Severn Valley and the River Severn itself flowing through the centre of the villages. There are also plenty of interesting museums and shops to visit and places to eat. Well worth a longer visit than the two days we spent there.

    It is so wooded and beautiful in the Autumn colours.

    It is so wooded and beautiful in the Autumn colours. Shops in Ironbridge are individual and very interesting. Fish and chip shop superb. Plenty of antique stalls and shops and a lovely Book shop and Christmas shop.
