Absolutely beautiful cottage and location. Really lovely host who went above and beyond to help. I left an item in the cottage and she posted this back to me which I massively appreciated. The location is perfect for a hike up the Old Man. Way better than staying in Coniston, we thought. Local pub served us well for evening meals too. The cottage itself is lovely. Really clean and rooms perfect. Thank you so much! We will be back!

The cottage was located closely to the Lake, the village, restaurants/ pubs and local shops. There were walks for all abilities of walkers. A bonus for us was a play park very close by for children to play.

    Love Coniston, returning regularly.

Love Coniston, returning regularly. Plenty of interesting places to go nearby, great walks from here. Very good pubs and local shops. I ate in self catering flat. The lake is a must, self drive boats and charted trips. Ducks and swans, the amazing cafe by the lake seems to grow each year. I recall when it was a small green tin shack. You can walk round the village with ease. History is interesting.

There is much to enjoy at Coniston from local walks around the lake as well as trail walks and peak climbing, the local area is steeped in history and the village a joy to walk around. The Ruskin Museum was very interesting and provided an appreciation for past historical local identity and future opportunities, the entrance fee was more than reasonable and the information relating to Coniston of greater appreciation for its significance throughout the Lake District.

A day was enough to fit in a trip on the lake, the Ruskin Museum and the array of shops. Don't go looking for Donald Campbell's grave in the church cemetery, it's in the village cemetery off Hawkshead Old Road. Didn't do any walking or drive to other villages, but it would be a good base location for this.

Great flat, easy to get to. The lovely host Angela met us on arrival to hand over the keys and show us around. Beautifully cleaned and equipped with all you need place to stay for a couple of nights. We came to attend a wedding and were pleasantly surprised to find an ironing board to press our outfits for the event. On the way home Steve, Angela's partner gave us helpful directions to avoid road works and traffic through the busy lakeside towns. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Location excellent, Access from car park to front entrance perfect. Staff really friendly, very helpful. Superb view from 1st floor room to Lake Coniston and spacious. Extremely comfortable bed. Very good menu, all our food was quickly served and hot! Our dog was made very welcome, plenty of grass in front of the hotel for walks and no one minded her sitting on my lap in the dining room. We didn’t want to leave!

Stayed here for a week with friends, accommodation was ideal for two couples and a child as there are two separate bathrooms. Good facilities in a great location, less than a 5 minute walk into the centre of Coniston. Off road parking for two cars which was a huge bonus as we've stayed in other places before where parking hasn't been available. Would definitely stay here again 🙂
