Beautiful rural location in the heart of the English...
Beautiful rural location in the heart of the English Cotswolds. Small town but with enough food and and drink options to satisfy most tastes for a weekend away. Easy enough to get to from the M4 motorway and larger towns nearby for more options. Some beautiful picturesque postcard villages all within 30 minute drive. My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at this excellent hotel and we couldn't be more impressed. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with a warm welcome and impeccable service. The quality of the facilities is truly exceptional; from the comfort of the rooms to the breathtaking views they offer. The indoor pool and sauna are perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration, and the restaurant offers a sublime culinary experience. Every dish was a delight to the senses, and the attention to detail in presentation and flavor was simply spectacular. Without a doubt, this hotel exceeded all our expectations and has become our favorite place to stay. Cricklade Village very close to the hotel.
Cricklade Village very close to the hotel. We ate at The Red Lion (need to book online) and the food was home cooked and very tasty and not badly priced at all. Cosy fire too which is always a welcome sight in the Winter months. We based ourselves here so that we could cycle the back lanes and we travelled through wonderful small villages and hamlets. Stopped off in Cirencester for coffee stop, looks an amazing town and wished I could have mooched around the many shops (bikes prevented this). He loves the job as you can tell when you meet him. The hotel was amazing, nice quiet and peaceful rooms. The food was delicious in the Indian and Thai restaurants that belong to the pub.
