Crowland is a small friendly town.
Crowland is a small friendly town. It has two small supermarkets, a bakery, a fish and chip shop and several restaurants/takeaways. It has a few shops selling non food items. The Trinity bridge in the centre of the town is worth a look. The Abbey is spectacular and the volunteers in the adjoining parish church are knowledgeable and helpful about the history of it. Not a touristy place.
Not a touristy place. The Abbey church and ruins are worth a visit and we had a good Sunday lunch at Ye Old Abbey but booking essential. The Deepings nature reserve and lakes are great for walking and the river Welland is lovely.Guest review byNallyUnited Kingdom
