Bird in Bush is a gorgeous spot to spend some time in Nothumbria. The accomodation is amazing. Every need is catered for including a telescope in each room to enjoy the night skies. The food in the Vafé and pub was fabulous so no need to drive anywhere else to get food. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Unexpected gem. On entering the property you think you have booked a pub room only to be blown away when entering your room. Sheer beauty! The details are phenomenal...local chocolates and delights scattered around the room, stunning details of lights to bespoke tiles in the bathrooms. One of my most delightful hotel room experiences. Also worth mentioning is the beautiful gardens, friendly and helpful staff and the made to order breakfast in the morning

Really cosy, great staff and community owned. Recently renovated. Great views from all rooms and especially the dining room. The food (both dinner and breakfast) was really good as well! Great location for discovering hadrians wall and Northumberland.

Everything. Had dinner in the evening (highly recommended), and a lovely breakfast (great choice from the breakfast menu). Lovely place to stop after some long walks during the day.

    What a cool little town!

    What a cool little town! They had just finished a community dog show and were partying in the Bird in the Bush, where we were staying. Everyone was kind and welcoming and I'd love to come back, explore more, and meet more people!

    The village is beautiful, very scenic and full of history, and the locals I met were all friendly, helpful and hospitable. Unfortunately my visit was totally ruined by the appalling standard of hospitality demonstrated by the proprietor of the Bird in Bush Inn.

    Small picturesque village, ideal if you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet in beautiful surroundings. Only the one pub but that's all we needed as provided us with tasty food at a reasonable price.

    Elsdon was a pretty little village.

    Elsdon was a pretty little village. Very quiet and peaceful. The Bird in Bush was an amazing place with fantastic rooms and staff. There was a pretty little coffee shop as part of the premises which catered for cyclists local people tourists and bikers. Delicious home made cakes were sold. The staff advised us of places of interest to visit which we did and they were lovely.

    Lovely big room excellent decor, lovely little extras dressing gowns,slippers, eye mask, sewing kit,emery board and cotton buds (this was a nice touch) bed was super comfy , gorgeous shower room , nice big settee to watch TV, food was excellent, staff fantastic couldn't do enough for us very friendly

    Generally, wide evidence of appallingly poor management. The bedroom wasn’t serviced after the first night, no milk no clean tea cups etc no carpet, just three cheap and nasty rugs along with cheap furniture probably found in sale rooms.
