Great location, very warm welcome, delicious food (we ate in the restaurant in the evening and then had a great Cumbrian breakfast included in our stay!). Family room was a great layout for a family with older teens. We made use of the gym and swimming pool. Would return!

Embleton has such helpful friendly staff.

Embleton has such helpful friendly staff. The accommodation was comfortable and spacious. Only 10 minutes from Keswick and Cockermouth. We went to Rookin Activity Centre for horse riding and quad bikes which was only 20 minutes away. We were celebrating my daughters hen do and had two apartments next to each other for 9 people. We had a fantastic time.

We had a wonderful warm welcome at the Embleton Hotel, the staff couldn’t do enough for us and totally embraced our little furpanion who was allowed everywhere with us. The bedroom was small, but perfectly adequate and the en-suite shower was lovely and powerful. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and could have done with a softer mattress, but that’s just our preference. Good view and television and WiFi signal fine, no other issues upstairs. The restaurant food was very slow to come out, despite prior notice. Best to give yourself lots of time to spare when dining there in the evening, the service is very attentive though and it was wonderful to have complimentary hot drink and cake on arrival. The hot food was a little disappointing, steak very under cooked and homemade mac and cheese chewy and tasteless. We were still charged and it was pricey, but the service made up for it and desserts delicious. Great car park and outdoor seating area, didn’t use the Spa. Overall would definitely stay again overnight in a more comfortable bed and have nice breakfast. 100% Dog Friendly - amazing staff! Thank you.

Booked a weekend stay with 8 other friends as an annual get-together so there were quite a few of us! The hotel staff were fantastic and really looked after us. Food was exceptional with plenty of choice. Really comfy bed. Room with a nice view. I liked the re-usable shower gel etc. plus the benefit of a small swimming pool with hot tub and steam room. A lovely stay.

A very friendly, warm hotel with great food in a picturesque setting. It has great facilities like a pool and gym. I only stayed one night on my own as I was travelling for business but staff were very accommodating, I decided to eat in my room as I was on my own, this was no trouble for them at all. The restaurant/bar area is very comfortable with awesome views. Overall, thoroughly recommend.

Warm welcome and all hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable with views across the valley. We enjoyed using the pool and sessions for hotel guests were at convenient times. Breakfast was very good and cooked to order. We ate at the hotel on both evenings, good interesting choices on the winter menu and our meals were delicious. Great location for accessing the Lake District and coast.

We had a small apartment with a small kitchen which gave us quite a lot of space but we still had breakfast at the hotel and could use the facilities. It was very dog friendly also with a nice lawn area. There was an excellent gym and the swimming pool was good for a morning swim before breakfast.

Staff were helpful, professional, and welcoming at all times. The room was clean, comfortable, and cosy. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and breakfast. The hotel is very well-situated for exploring the local area. The outdoor patio is a highlight with a stunning view over Sale and Ling Fell.
