It was a very large haven site.
It was a very large haven site. All facilities were marvellous for families. Our caravan was away from the busy entertainment hub which suited us as we were 4 friends an adults only party. Attended Cartmel Races and accommodation was spot on for that as it was not far to CartmelGuest review byAnonymous - 6.0
The room had a problem with ants every where especially on...
The room had a problem with ants every where especially on the bed linen and pillows which made sleeping very difficult, The music was extremely loud and went on until after 11pm also the patrons leaving the Hope and Anchor were very noisy making it very difficult to try to go to sleep. The most unfortunate thing was the pub did not do any form of breakfast which as a diabetic this was crucial we only found out about breakfast after we booked in and was too late to cancel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Cook who prepared great meals for us. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Room very well presented. Excellent choice and quantity at breakfast time and the offer to take away food for lunch time if you wished! We hope to go again and recommend it as a place to stay. Easy parking and free in the village square just in front of the Hope and Anchor. We are evening meals in the pub. Very easy to walk in the surrounding countryside, which is attractive. We visited Grange over Sands and took the train across the bay to Arnside. Interesting history, vibrant community and good facilities for a village with an artisan baker, large church and railway station. We ate in the Hope and Anchor.
