Exactly what we were looking for, an old village pub near Stirling with a few rooms upstairs, a refreshing break from generic “chain” hotels. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and this made for a great experience. Breakfast was freshly made for us each morning, and was delicious. We had dinner there the first night and it was so good we ate there the following nights of our stay as well.

Location was great and easy to find. They had an EV charging station in the car park which was very handy. The meal at the restaurant was very pleasant. Breakfast had a good selection.

I have never reviewed a hotel in my life, despite staying in hundreds. Albeit I sadly was not there long, this hotel was truly fabulous, such a pleasant surprise after a busy day travelling.

Our stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel was brief but very positive. It's impossible to talk about the hotel without mentioning its unique architecture; after all, it was formerly a school, which gives it a unique vibe. The room was comfortable, tidy, and clean, and the breakfast was served buffet-style with many options, all very good.

The village has a friendly pub offering a simple but tasty menu, as well as a general store selling all the basics. Pretty surrounding countryside, with a view of the Cairngorm mountains. Well positioned for touring the Central Lowlands of Scotland.
