Pleasant atmosphere when entering the hotel room, the radio is playing softly, a cozy feeling. We loved the authenticity of the building and the historical details. The staff show true British hospitality. Delicious English breakfast with enough choice.

Beautiful hotel with a swimming pool, sauna, and steam room. The staff were really helpful and nice. We spent a magical weekend in the castle, with its stained windows, staircases, and fireplaces. We loved the breakfasts a lot. The surrounding grounds were perfect for relaxing walks.

We've stayed before: friends live in Peterborough, Stevenage and Saffron Walden so it's an ideal base. Easy via A1, easy parking, plenty of food choice next door. Friendly welcone from Toby. Room impressive, bed excellent, super shower, everything spotlessly clean. We've spent more money elsewhere and it's not been as good! -4degC outside, room warm. Enjoyed a great overnight stay and there will be more.
