    We come to visit relatives but we always find the shopping...

    We come to visit relatives but we always find the shopping excellent, and the train connection from Harpenden to London is easy and fast. The apartment we stayed in is fairly close to the train station. There are plenty of choices for groceries. It is a small town but very walkable with some nice parks. A bus or the train will get you to St. Alban's and the Cathedral, museums and parks there.

    Harpenden is a small little town with tons of restaurant options. The suburban atmosphere and beautiful natural surroundings make this a perfect place to live. Super close to Luton Airport and from London.

    Sunday night stay, quiet and peaceful. Friendly girl called Rosie checked us in. Room was nicely decorated, clean and met needs. Breakfast was served in a lovely dining area , and very attentive staff member , whom I think was the manager. My husband and I only visiting Harpenden on a flying visit, we were impressed by our stay in the Old cock Inn and definitely represented exceptional value.

    There was no breakfast which came as a shock . The room was a disgrace the bed linen was clean but the mattresses were so uncomfortable they were so old and worn. The walls were peeling from damp the windows were cracked and the bathroom floorwas split as was the bath surround

    Beautiful hotel and locations. Room was spacious, massive bed and loved the bath! My only complaint would be the check in and out times, we felt rushed getting out for 10.
