We just loved staying at The Crown Hotel in Downham Market! Everything about the hotel was exceptional, from the delicious full English breakfasts, clean rooms with fresh linen, character of the hotel and it's history and it's interesting décor, to the quant hotel bar (which was always busy at night), to the very friendly and helpful owners and staff, our stay exceeded any expectations we had. This is a true English Hotel with character and we will definitely stay there on our next trip to the UK. The location is prefect walking distance to shops, supermarkets, laundromat and cafes and restaurants. We just loved "Henry"!! Just perfect!! :)

As a family we had a nice time. The location was just good it was 10 min near where the wedding was. The beds was clean and comfortable we had a nice stay. Bathroom was clean. It was everything as it should be the staff there are polite very nice. The breakfast was excellent 👌

The room was amazing value. Fully stocked with tea, coffee, biscuits, etc and fan plus hairdryer - most unusual, in my experience, and both greatly appreciated. Exceptionally clean and little touches - prettily folded towels, lovely quality shampoo, shower gel and liquid soap - just made the space feel 'finished'. Breakfast in the conservatory, feet away from the river, was such a relaxing way to start the day. Fantastic choice - fruit, cereal, full English, etc, beautifully cooked. The nicest thing, though, were the people I encountered, from other guests, kitchen staff, waitress, manager and owner. All so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. It was a lovely experience, from start to finish, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. It was absolutely perfect. Thank you to everyone for making my stay so special and for being so kind about my late arrival and rubbish sense of direction. Will definitely be back !

This is really marvellous bed and breakfast on the river bank in charming Ely. My room was spacious and luxury. Extremely clean and stylish. The bathroom was vast with everything necessary. Breakfast was abundant, with a great variety of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would definitely return. Thank you very much, indeed!
