We would give this place a 12 out of 10 if possible! Alison was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome, even giving us a ride to the starting point of our walk. The annexe itself is lovely with the most comfortable bed we've slept in for ages! There's a well-furnished kitchen, a beautiful garden and overall every detail has clearly been given attention. The perfect stay!

We had a very comfortable room with good facilities. We slept very well. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly. We had a great breakfast and a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The beer was also very good. All in all we were very satisfied, the price was fair and we would be happy to come back.

Lesley was absolutely amazing. She holds the entire establishment together. Not only did she check us in, she served our drinks, cooked and served our dinner (lamb shanks were delicious). As if that was not enough, she cooked our breakfast the next morning. Please give Lesley a pay rise!!

    We stayed at the Forresters in Kilburn because it is close to the North Yorkshire Gliding Club where our friends were taking part in a competition. Kilburn is a fairly remote, quiet and very well kept village but close, by car, to all parts of the N.Y. moors are including Pickering, Thirsk and Helmsley which are all worth visiting.

    The ambience of the property and its location to the nearby towns of interest .. my only negative was that it is such a popular choice for food in the area that parking was a bit squashed.. but that also reflects on how good even locals find the establishment

    Not a lot in the centre of Kilburn ie shops, but some great walks. We walked through the forest, up the hill to the white horse. Short drive to Helmsley, a beautiful town. Walked around Helmsley Castle, very interesting and quite a bit intact. Then walked to Rievaulx Abbey along the Cleveland Way. Great for the dog. No styles, no sheep - but loads of pheasants!! Forresters Arms in Kilburn superb to stay and eat.

    Had a lovely stay brilliant spot in a picture perfect village highly recommended staff couldn’t do enough for you and very polite and welcoming locals were very friendly I will stay there again if I’m the area again food was great too! Super clean room and spacious! Thanks for a lovely stay.
