We absolutely loved our night away. We stayed in one of the cottages and it was beautiful. We have stayed in many places but the cleanliness of this place was amazing! The cottage was spotless and was fitted with everything you would need. The staff are lovely, and everything is made so easy from check-in to check out. The location is gorgeous, with lovely walks surrounding the house that ourselves, the kids, and our dog enjoyed. We will be back.

We stayed at the lodge on Maneight Farm for a week and everything was wonderful. The place was clean, tidy, and equipped with all the little essentials you might need. Upon arrival, we were greeted with refreshing drinks and a basket full of fresh farm eggs. The beds were very comfortable, there were plenty of towels, and the hot tub right outside was fantastic. We will definitely be returning.

    Don't expect the Ritz, because if you do, you will be...

    Don't expect the Ritz, because if you do, you will be disappointed. First impressions of the hotel are not too impressive, but one you got used to it, it grew on us. We felt that this a more realistic snapshot of life in rural Scotland. Ayr was a few miles away, but wouldn't compare with our stay.

    Lovely house, decorated for Halloween.

    Lovely house, decorated for Halloween. We enjoyed a very nice cooked breakfast. The owners have printed an interesting book with lots of ideas for places to visit. We were just passing through en-route to a wedding but maybe I will get to go back one day, as id like to find the fairy glens and wee burns :)

    Plenty of walking with good landscapes, some historical sites to visit within walking distance. Excellent Salmon Fishing near bye. Within 1 hours drive from Kilmarnock, Ayr and Dumfries. Local Train Station in Kirkconnel.
