    We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective...

    We stayed at Knowsley as it was much more cost effective than 2 nights in similar accommodation in Liverpool. We were down for the Everton Man City game. Unfortunately neither of us drive and as buses don't Service the hotel at the weekend meant we had to rely on taxis. For anyone who drives the location is not a problem though. Visited a few of the local hostelries. Copperpot, Derby Arms and Vikings Landing all were very friendly places with good service. Prices for drinks are favourable compared to other cities.

    Plenty for kids to do, seal show was fab and enjoyed the train ride around the park seeing some of the animals, plenty of kiosks for ice creams and places to sit in with shade as weather was red hot, clean toilets with disabled facilities. Loved the drive round the animals, with a lucky escape with the monkeys 😊

    as a wheelchair user we were given a ground floor room which was appreciated but the lack of fresh air was suffocating at times as the air con was not sufficient.A small refrigerator would have been useful

    Not worth a 4 stars hotel. Paid too much to stay there.

    Not worth a 4 stars hotel. Paid too much to stay there. I expected more from initial pictures shown on booking.com. Shower and taps was hard to use. Then water pressure coming out of the shower head was so hard that my 10 years old son did not like as it hurt him.

    Breakfast wS standard, had to ask staff for things that was not already out on display being a vegan/vegetarian. The sign for the hotel was covered by high tree branches so wasn't visible for many taxi drivers. Many had driven past it.bedeoom lacked a table or desk,everything place on a very thin ledge,including the kettle and cups etc. The TV had no signal so could even watch Tv whilst we were in our room. No telephone to ring down to reception. For the price this should have been a much better experience

    welcoming staff, fantastic location for our needs just over half hour from Chester and a little less from Liverpool and round the corner (5mins) from knowsley safari park. Quiet although large hotel, ample parking, large room with en suite. Clean and comfy.
