Comfy rooms with homemade shortbread, sherry, and fresh milk at the door in the morning. We were on a road trip but I would have loved to stay at least a second night at The Crown Inn! There is also a pub on the property that served the best fish & chips I had in my life. The scenery of the pub garden, with the village church's bell tower in the backdrop, was also uplifting. Would definitely come back.

Comfortable room and cleanliness. Facilities excellent. Breakfast was superb. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar facilities were excellent. Car parking was very good and on the premises. Will use Best Western again.

Parking was a problem because of the location of the hotel. We didn’t realise that it was located right down on the wharf with little parking available. I would suggest more information is sent out . Loved everything else. Staff was lovely . Locals were very helpful too.

The hotel is situated on a hill above the bay and offers a beautiful view of the whole area. We had a superior room with a fantastic view of the bay of Fowey and the sea. Our room was exceptionally well equipped, especially fine were the wonderful, huge bed and the spacious, bright bathroom, which also had a large window. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One more note: the Negroni at the bar was also great! The whole village is exceptionally well-kept, there are lots of nice little shops, good restaurants/pubs and everything around was lush and green.

    A delightful village with lots of pleasant walks Tide was out whilst we visited but it would have been even more appealing with the waterway full Not as close to St Austell as anticipated but it was fine for one night

    A very peaceful location with many opportunities for...

    A very peaceful location with many opportunities for woodland walks, and also for river leisure activities such as swimming and paddleboarding. The village shop is well stocked with simple basics, as well as nice treats. The Ship Inn also does a good range of beers and ciders. Be aware that the road beside the river can get flooded at high tide
