Llanrwst is fairly typical for a Wales town/village before...
Llanrwst is fairly typical for a Wales town/village before you get into the heart of Snowdonia. Good links into all directions. The bridge of quarrels is amazing, but you need to be able to drive backwards if you have to as it's only one lane and you can't see a car coming from the opposite direction easily. Lovely walk along the river or over a suspension bridge towards Trefriw for a visit to the Woolen Mill there. Also Gwydir Castle is worth a visit, full of peacocks and nicely restored. Llanrwst was bigger that I imagined with all the facilities...
Llanrwst was bigger that I imagined with all the facilities of of a small town. It was on the edge of most places but would recommend a car. Beware of Llanberis! Go into the town and not the Railway car park if you want refreshments. The railway car park is expensive and refreshement basic/limited. Check on the months as the train does not always go to the top of Snowdon. Ffestiniog rail was fun. Recommend you book but not much there when arrive and the turn round time is short.
