We feel incredibly fortunate to have chosen Hame on Skye for our stay. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly staff, who went above and beyond to provide us with excellent recommendations for exploring the area's top attractions, including Neist Point and Coral Beach. Their local insights truly enhanced our trip. The room we stayed in was impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable, making it the perfect retreat after a day of exploring Skye's stunning landscapes. The highlight of our mornings was undoubtedly the delicious Scottish breakfast served in the restaurant. Not only was the food exceptional, but the restaurant also offered breathtaking views of the surrounding natural beauty—a truly serene and memorable experience. Our stay at Hame on Skye was nothing short of perfect, and we can’t wait to return. If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming, and scenic place to stay on Skye, we highly recommend it!

recently had the pleasure of booking a stay at Aurora Retreats and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I left, everything about my stay exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the owner of Aurora Retreats was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure that I had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From providing detailed directions to the property to offering helpful suggestions on local restaurants, their warm and welcoming nature made me feel right at home. Speaking of the property itself, it was nothing short of stunning. Nestled in the midst of nature, the retreat offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The serene atmosphere and tranquil surroundings made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It truly felt like a hidden gem. One aspect that particularly stood out to me was the impeccable cleanliness and tidiness of the place. The attention to detail was evident in every nook and cranny. The rooms were spotless, the common areas were well-maintained, and the overall ambiance was one of relaxation and serenity. It was clear that the owners take great pride in maintaining their property to the highest standards. During my stay, I had the opportunity to explore the surrounding area, and I was not disappointed. There were plenty of activities to enjoy, from hiking trails to nearby attractions. The owner's recommendations proved to be invaluable, as I was able to make the most of my time in the area and discover hidden gems I would have otherwise missed.     Hame on Skye was a great spot!

    Hame on Skye was a great spot! We were only there for one night, but the facility is spotless, and the Honor Bar was great! We sat in the living room and played cards while we drank our wine/scotch! I would highly recommend this spot for any travelers wanting a quiet and picturesque place to stay. The breakfast was delicious as well!

    Hame on Skye is the perfect place to explore the island. Its location means you have access to numerous sights. The host were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The real bonus was the quality of the food courtesy of JJ. It was way above what was expected. There was locally sourced produce prepared to a very high standard.

    What an amazing place to explore!

    What an amazing place to explore! We were there for two full days but really should have booked for longer. From the Old Man of Storr to Neist Point down to the Fairy Pools and Loch Coruisk - there is so much to see and explore! One amazing find for us was the Dunvegan Hotel restaurant!! What an unexpected surprise! The food is not your typical fare and it is amazing. The setting is lovely with a fireplace and a cozy feel to the dining area. The service is excellent! We luckily were able to book to go back for the very next evening which meant we got to try different things from the menus and get impressed all over again! The Dunvegan Hotel restaurant is truly a hidden gem!!
