Interesting architecture with a very high quality of finish. Well informed and helpful staff. Good breakfast with cheery and very helpful staff in the Bridge Room restaurant lifting the spirits despite the awful weather.

Everything was great — the room was clean and spacious. The Sunday roast was great after a long day of walking Hadrian's Wall, and everyone (especially Andy and Shane) were extremely welcoming!

We were met in the car park and immediately offered help. Our rooms were ready and provided exactly what we requested. The tour of the guest areas was a lovely welcome. The attention paid to my elderly father was appreciated.

We booked a stay for one night while walking Hadrian’s Wall path. The owners were very accommodating - they were able to set up a single bed in our room to make it a room for 3. Our room had a large tub which was great for soaking after a long day of walking. Clean, comfortable. Delicious dinner was offered onsite (booked in advance) and breakfast the next morning. The owners made us a packed lunch as well for our next day’s walk. Really lovely stay.
