Meifod is a small Welsh farming village, charming and quiet...
Meifod is a small Welsh farming village, charming and quiet (inspite of the A495 main road) . Many walks from the hotel door to be had. 20 minutes drive to Lake Vyrnwy, and the same to the Pistyll Rhaedr waterfall. The nearest local town is Welshpool for all the normal conveniences, plus the National Trust property and exquisite gardens of Powis Castle is 5 minutes drive from Welshpool.Guest review bydavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0

The hotel has an old world charm but still caters well for younger people with a huge covered outside dining area & two different types of menus to cater for all tastes . Of course there is an indoor dining/breakfast room also & from May 17th when restrictions were lifted ,myself & other residents dined inside with adequate precautions. The outside area & bar is frequented by locals alongside residents & at the weekends there is a vibrant ,busy atmosphere.Guest review byNestUnited Kingdom
