The proprietors Euan & Emma were excellent company and very attentive to guests' needs. The hotel had an excellent menu with accompanying wines, beers, spirits, if required. The hotel also had an extensive range of locally-produced spirits. The accommodation was excellent and well-equipped. If you want a spiritual retreat full of candles and incense in a quiet location, then this is for you. With no Wi-Fi, this is a place to come and escape. And not one touristy picture of a Highland cow to be seen - what a joy! The owner Fred, is a breath of fresh air. Loved the spacious rooms and very comfy king size bed. Everything provided for a more than comfortable stay, they provided everything you required for a stress free visit to the area. Location was close to a hotel which served beautiful meals and breakfast in the bnb was more than adequate. The location is excellent for Castle O'Mey and Dunnet Head - I would say forget commercial John O'Groats and go to wild and windy Dunnet which is the REAL most northerly point of mainland Britain.
