I was encouraged by the previous reviews, which consistently hit the top. However, I was mindful that reviews can rely on how people are feeling on the day. The staff were super helpful; we had to cancel our dinner booking as our little one was not feeling well and they offered to do room service for us (so in the end we had a lovely dessert!). Breakfast was delicious and the lady behind the bar brought little portion of beans for our daughter and some colouring. The room was a great size, very close to the car park, with everything clean and ready for us.

We used the Broughton Stables as our Home Base to explore Hitsoric Wales sites. The accomodation is very comfy and perfectly equipped. Our Dogs were welcomed and enjoyed the pure beauty of the nature surrounding as much as we did. The close by Town Bishops Castle offers suffcient shops to cater the day-to-day demand.

    The countryside is stunningly beautiful and provides lots of walks . The market town of Montgomery is quaint, with a wonderful town square.There are a variety of shops and restaurants and a town hall which was built in 1748.There is also a weekly Thursday market.

    Montgomery is a charming, Georgian village/town with a few interesting little shops and a quaint coffee shop. The castle ruins were very interesting, and the area was well preserved as well as having lots of historical information. Being a small place, we were only there for a morning.

    Really lovely old town. Lots of information in the streets. Flowers everywhere. Nice steep walk up to castle but no access until 11am. Good deli/cafe. Seemed to be a lot going on judging from all the posters and notices on the town hall.

    It was show day (carnival) lovely to watch its earlier next year. Pretty buildings locals were very friendly. It’s great if you want to visit Welshpool which is a lovely town & go on the steam train 👌 OR Powys Castle & Gardens which were stunningly beautiful. Well worth a visit my Burthday treat to myself ❤️👌The hotel breakfast & dinner were superb & excellent staff throughout. A house made & sold beautiful cakes & scones. We cdnt believe the honesty box on carnival weekend. Crown pub locals delight 👌

    A quaint village which was like stepping back in time but perfect for a wander. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Castle Kitchen cafe and all the locals were friendly. Montgomery provided the perfect location to attend the Kaff Kasset exhibition at Powys Castle and gardens..

    The property was beautifully appointed with a large, powerful shower, slipper bath and very comfortable bed. There was lots of space and lovely views over the nearby fields and hills. Carol organised a breakfast for me at short notice and it was outstanding. Absolutely great value for money - the granola with fruit was delicious and the full Welsh was simply gorgeous. The hosting was also second to none. Would heartily recommend.

    The house is Georgian and Ruth has decorated it and designed the spaces, with such style, my friend Janet and I were exhilarated. Montgomery is a lovely ‘town’ and the house is situated in the centre( it’s only the size of a village). Ruth was very helpful with information about Montgomery and advised us very well, on places to visit on the journey back. We feel were so lucky to have stayed there.

    Location was amazing. Peace and quiet... near a beautiful little village. The cabin had Pretty much everything you needed, maybe a microwave would be a nice touch when it comes to cooking. The hosts were amazing and very welcoming. Especially when it came to warming up the hot tub. The farm cats that visited us daily, are super cute and very greedy.
