Our 3rd visit in 3 years and it continues to be excellent. It feels like home rather than a hotel. Staff are wonderful. You are made to feel so welcome. Location is perfect for rail trips into London or boat trips to Richmond or Hampton court, or just a short walk into Kingston over the river. Free secure parking and a great breakfast, what's not to like. Will we be back? Of course we will!

It's an amazing place to stay. At the reception, they'll give you a card key and kindly explain how to open the door if you arrive late. You start enjoying the beauty and thoughtfulness of the hotel as soon as you go upstairs to find your room. It seemed that they thought of every little detail, everyghing is just stunningly beautiful. Finding the room isn't difficult—the signs are painted on the walls and seem like part of the design. There are also paintings on the walls that catch the eye. Although the room is relatevily small, it's just charming. There's a wooden table, a fireplace, a fresh newspaper, and a large chandelier—it's the perfect setting for "English aristocrat"-style photos. Besides being a great place for photos, the room has everything you need to relax: a kettle, cups, glasses, nespresso machine, coffee and tea, a large TV, and a wonderfully soft bed. Both sides of the bed have nightstands and power outlets—very convenient for charging all devices. The bathroom is nice and has all the necessary amenities. The towel warmer works without any issues, and there's soap, shower gel, body cream, shampoo, and conditioner—all with a lovely fragrances. The hotel also has a pub, which I highly recommend visiting. You don't have to leave the building—the entrance is right off the hotel corridor. The margaritas were delicious. I highly recommend trying the sausage roll. The staff are also increadibly kind and polite. 10 out of 10. I highly recommend this place.

It is a simple and modern hotel, 10 minutes away from the nearest tube station, and 1 minute away from several bus lines to city center. It is very decent, for a nice price, with a complete breakfast included. The street is calm, the hotel is quiet, easy going in and out. Beds and pillows are comfy. Would definitely recommend and come back for a short stay in London.

    We really liked how the host Carol made us feel so welcome.

    We really liked how the host Carol made us feel so welcome. We felt like we were visiting family and it was very much like a home from home feel. It would be nice to have a TV in the room but it didn’t spoil our stay. All in all it was lovely to stay at Carol Lodge in the very quiet neighbourhood. Would stay again!

    This is a suburban sort of area but easy to catch the train to the city if you want. I probably wouldn't stay here if we didn't have family nearby but it was really nice and quiet and relaxed. There was a lovely bakery called the Old Rolling Pin Bakery in walking distance (on the B279) which we loved. We got Indian food from Elaha Indian on Green Lane which was great.
