Lovely property in a great location. Beautifully appointed and well equipped with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Gill and Seamus are perfect hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The cottage has been finished to a very high standard. It was spotlessly clean and very cosy. The breakfast items, tea, coffee and milk were a real bonus. We will definitely be back.

Location was perfect for us travelling from Bristol airport. Looks recently refurbished, room perfect for what we required and clean. Food in the bar/restaurant was decent value and delicious. Nice touch having coffee/breakfast items available for guests leaving early hours in the morning for Bristol airport. Staff were all helpful and friendly.

We really enjoyed the location, the warm atmosphere of the hotel when you step trough the front door, the warm welcome by staff and the exceptionally clean rooms. We pre-booked our tabel at the restaurant in the hotel online. We really loved the menu and we enjoyed well excecuted and delicious dinners. I recommend that you have the lamb shank and mash. I had it twice :)

    Good place when visiting places like Cheddar Gorge (WOW),...

    Good place when visiting places like Cheddar Gorge (WOW), Tynefield house lovely and near to bath, wells, bristol. Cliffon suspension bridge is a must see although it showered on our visit we witnessed a beautiful rain bow reaching from one side of river to the other. highly recommend area safe and clean beautiful scenery.

    Newly furnished and well equipped, nice garden and good off road parking. We enjoyed our one night stay… only, that for us, the bed was too soft and a bit too narrow, so not a good night’s sleep for us.

    Were told today by friends that The George had recently changed hands and that local feeling was the pub had gone donwhill. It was clean, bed comfortable, but we were not expecting to eat breakfast in our room and the food provided was very poor. We used to live in the village and were expecting better service.

    Great location if you are in a car. Friendly staff. Comfortable. Good value. For the price don't expect perfection. Nicer than staying in central Bristol and the price difference more than covers lots of car parking. Good for visiting Tyntesfield, SS Great Britain, Clifton and Bristol. No food Sunday evening but there is a Subway not far away (closes 8.00pm Sunday)

    We stayed at the Rising Sun as an overnight stop. We ate there and would recommend others to do the same. No particular dislikes, friendly welcome, smart accommodation cosy dining area. Good anti covid measures in place.

    The George Hotel on the main road has amazing food - that is very reasonable, the staff are friendly and welcoming. The Covid measures are good as is the cleaning. Looks a little grubby from the main road but is beautiful at the entrance court yard around the back and lovely inside.

    The coach house was fabulous 👌 It had everything you would need for a short or long stay. Richard, the host, was incredibly thoughtful and responded quickly to any questions. The location was great and walkable (20 minutes approx) to Nailsea town centre.
