    Beautifull place for walks.the river and waterfall is defenatly something to see. if you like a walk dont pay to see the waterfall walk along the river over the bridge and see it from an elivated position for free much better view in my opinion too.

    High Force waterfall was spectacular as was a walk around cow green reservoir Otherwise the hotel is close to Barnard Castle a lively market town with lots to do and to see, including the Bowes museum
