We liked everything about Norwood House. The staff were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly and the whole place had a great feel about it. Very welcoming. The food was very large portions and very reasonably priced. Home cooked, tasted great. So nice to find a place like this and will certainly be coming back.

What's not to like... Beautiful place to chill and relax. Myself and my dog were made up and if my dogs happy then so I am. Spotlessly clean, comfy bed, solid wooden floors, quality decor, just lovely and perfect to relax in a peaceful farm environment but yet close to amenities. Clear skies gave full view of the milky way and Wow is all I can say. Only thing missing is a beach but in the Midlands I think you'd struggle. Just such a nice placed secure parking, secure rear area for my dog and farm animals onsite for my pouch to say hello too and a lovely quiet lane to go for a peaceful walk. Having a few self contained lodges / cottages on site this was perfect for me on my own and would be great for a group. I stay I lots of Airbnb and cottages, hotels etc but this is just a breath of fresh air and well worth every penny for a getaway or just a stay over. Host Sara is lovely and has her own dogs who are adorable, chickens a horse and there's a guard if cows on site also. Thank you Sarah for our stay, as I said my dog loved and if she's happy then so am I.

We arrived late at night and got a great welcome. We had booked a twin room for my son and I but in the end, they accommodated us in 2 rooms for the same price which was most generous of them.

We had a lovely weekend visiting university daughter.

We had a lovely weekend visiting university daughter. Stayed at The Swan Inn on Lower Bar. Loved the short stroll to the high street and shopping. Very friendly locals. Lots more to do than we had time for. Had Sunday lunch at The Lamb Inn at Edgmond - highly recommended. The architecture of the buildings along the high street was lovely.

A lovely little town with lots of historic buildings .

A lovely little town with lots of historic buildings . Verry easy to walk around and some attractive floral displays. Sadly I was only there for a night so I didn;t have time to eat out but there was no shortage of places if you wanted to.

Wonderful with a remarkable church right in the centre.

Wonderful with a remarkable church right in the centre. There seems to be a lively student community but local bars are serviced by door staff who appear to limit rowdiness. The Railway Tavern was a real gem being easy walking distance from the hotel and past the church. This bar serves a marvellous range of snacks all day, has the most incredible pork pies I have ever tasted. One visit they 12 different real ales on tap as well as the usual lagers and ciders. A very well run establishment.

I spent 3 nights in Newport, I didn't explore the town in...

I spent 3 nights in Newport, I didn't explore the town in great detail to be fair, I used it as a base to visit Mach Loop which is an area in mid Wales for low flying fighter jet training, and I went to a couple of evening football matches, one at Shrewsbury, and the other a Crewe. What I experienced in Newport was pleasant enough, a variety of eating establishments, as well as the normal High Street shops, etc. Newport is an old Market Town idea for a base to visit the County of Shropshire, and further afield if you wish.

Quiet, peaceful and picturesque, about 5 minutes drive from...

Quiet, peaceful and picturesque, about 5 minutes drive from some really great places to eat and the same for the local shopping centre etc. not much you can walk to but if you like a country walk then it’s ideal for exploring.

Thank You to Zoe and the Amazing Hotel Staff! A big thank you to Zoe from the reparations team—she was so helpful and friendly throughout my stay. I also want to thank all the staff at the hotel. Everyone was kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. When I accidentally locked my room key inside, the team quickly found a spare key and opened the door without any issue.
