If you like peace and quiet, birdsong, stunning views, spectacular walks and supremely comfortable, well equipped and warm accommodation with a charming, welcoming host, look no further! Treetops is unique! The topography is pretty demanding, hence its beauty, so be prepared for steep, narrow lanes and breathtaking footpaths with breathtaking views. Nearest town Lynton is a lovely place.
Nearest town Lynton is a lovely place. We discovered an excellent tapas bar there called Oak Wall. We did not eat at the hotel but were informed by another guest that the food was excellent. Was expecting host to be present at breakfast time. But plenty of space in kitchen provided. Breakfast was basic but good. The room was lovely, very clean and tidy. It would have been lovely to sit in the garden beneath our room as such a lovely view, but it was overgrown and not accessible. Patio available only has sun first thing and not the same view. Parracombe village is remote , quiet and picturesque.
Parracombe village is remote , quiet and picturesque. Despite hourly buses to Barnstaple & Plymouth a car is pretty much essential. Nearby Lynton & Lynmouth are local tourist hot spots and the Valley of the Rocks rewards you with spectacular cliff top views along the coast.Guest review byIvanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Would not recommend Parracombe or the Fox and Goose to all and sundry but I would to friends who appreciate this environment. We don't want all and sundry knowing about the place and not appreciating the location and spoiling it because many uneducated working class oiks who don't know how to behave and expect everything to be perfect could ruin the village and hotelGuest review byJohn AnningUnited Kingdom

The village of Parracombe is just off the A39 and has hardly changed from before the arrival of the motor car. , This pub, restaurant, hotel is like an oasis after my walk from Woolacombe. The hosts are delightful, bar staff accommodating, restaurant superb and my room very spacious with a very modern en-suite bathroom and everything scrupulously clean. The view was the lounge window was excellent. we saw a beautiful sunset over the hills with the sea in the distance. Desi who runs the hotel was very helpful and friendly. She had useful tips for things to do nearby. The gardens were beautiful. The apartment was comfortable.
