This place is exceptional and the hosts, Michael and Julia are amazing. They will do everything possible to make your stay a pleasant one. The facilities are fantastic. Modern rooms with lovely bathrooms, good heating and very comfy beds. Tea and coffee provided in your room as well as having a quality breakfast included in the price. There is a bar on-site as well, with more than reasonable drinks pricing. Overall a brilliant place to stay. Thanks Michael and Julia.

A beautiful room filled with everything I needed. The tea set surprised me, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and all water could easily be switched from cold to hot. For breakfast I had many different options to choose from, cereal, bread with jam, cheeses, orange juice, sweets, as they were left on the doorstep. The host was very welcoming and so I'll always have a fond memory of this place.

It was just perfect, so peaceful and private, cosy and warm. The lodge had everything we needed and more and was so clean and comfortable. I've always been used to falling asleep to a TV in bed but not having one in the bedroom wasn't a problem after all as I've never slept so well! We loved watching all of the different birds from the living room/hot tub aswell, It really is such a lovely little farm. Will definitely be returning as we were both so gutted to leave here!!

The property was beautiful, home from home, with everything there that you needed, the welcome pack was a lovely gesture as well left by Claire. The village was quiet, which was nice, but good in the fact that relaxing/chilled (with village pub just across the road serving lovely food) we had days out in York and Beverley. We are certainly going back......

    Nice place to stay, lady was very helpful and could not do enough for us, bonus the Chinese restaurant was excellent with a large selection of dishes, all very tasty. Will return as soon as we can. Would highly recommend.

    Pocklington is fairly compact, with two of the big supermarkets having a presence there. This was perfect as I was staying with my partner at the local resort, we like to have a look around and get our supplies from local shops. We enjoyed a meal and a drink at the local public house, Black Bull which I'm happy to say was very welcoming and had a great atmosphere. Some of the streets are a little narrow when driving around though.

    Lovely little place within easy reach of York.

    Lovely little place within easy reach of York. We ate at the Feathers - good menu and delicious food. The main attraction for us was Burnby Hall Gardens - although the water lilies were not out in such profusion as the last time we visited the garden was still a wonderful sight to behold

    For a small place Pocklington has plenty of food places.

    For a small place Pocklington has plenty of food places. Lots of charity shops but not many welcome dogs. They are also very expensive. Don’t forget your umbrella. It’s a short drive to Pickering and we took the steam train to Whitby and had fish and chips

    I was only in Pocklington for three days, two nights.

    I was only in Pocklington for three days, two nights. For my daughters wedding. The people were very friendly and all the shop owners were courteous, polite and very helpful. It appears to be a very nice place. As my daughter will be living on and off in a nearby village Bishop Wilton I will be staying in the Carpenters Cottage 28 Union Street. Ran by a lovely Couple Patrick and Helen. Beautiful small well equipped cottage, which I'm 100% in love with, and would love to live in it full-time. Lol I'll hopefully be able to see more of the town and gardens when I visit again. So far I love what I've seen. 👍for Pocklington and it's people. 👏👏👏

    A lovely picturesque small market town.

    A lovely picturesque small market town. Xmas lights particularly impressive. Good choice of pubs, cafes, restaurants. Lots of independent traders and retailers with welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. 30 minute bus ride to York or Beverley so no need to use own transport.

    Lovely cosy cottage very close to the centre of the Pocklington village.Comfortable and equipped with everything you could need. Two ensuite double bedrooms which was perfect for our group of two couples. Outside space looked lovely but weather was too cold to take advantage of it. Easy to get into York centre with a great park & ride service about 20 minutes drive away

    The rooms were very clean and the setting of the hotel was great for relaxing with family. Breakfast was perfect. The location to the local town and York was convenient. Above all, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended and we would definitely stay here again when in the location.
