Idyllic rural location - cows in field at fence, chickens around property, wildlife and birds yet only 15 minutes from big town, supermarkets etc for self-catering. Need car to be in this location. Grand-daughter (nearly 3) in party - property fenced - outdoor area - lots of kiddie size chairs (including rocker) - lots of toys including ride-on - cot, bunks - VERY suitable for children. Plenty of room inside - we had some very wet weather (September visit). A beautiful Northern Ireland country cottage with very helpful and delightful host! Easy access to main Northern Ireland tourist attractions - and the south.

    As I grew up there I can't quite see it as a holiday place.

    As I grew up there I can't quite see it as a holiday place. However it has pleasant countryside round it. for car travellers it is close to Lough Neagh and the City of Armagh an the countryside round it. There are good restaurants and pleasant coffee shops. The town centre is easy to get round and there is a good local bus service.

    We only stayed in Portadown because it was convenient,...

    We only stayed in Portadown because it was convenient, Daughter had a singing exam and we were heading to Banbridge the next day, but we had a very enjoyable walk through the town, browsing in the shops, we ate in Greggs which was lovely and the staff were very kind. The weather was also lovely, which was a bonus.

    I was visiting relatives of my grandparents who left...

    I was visiting relatives of my grandparents who left Portadown for America in 1865. We had wonderful reunions and I was able to meet new members of the family. The town looked great. I have come here off and on since 1976 and Portadown seems much improved from earlier times.

    Great location with plenty of parking. Room lovely with great bathroom and spotlessly clean. Tea tray selection was good and liked the comfort of the bedroom. Facilities at hotel were good, cafe on site and good dinner menu. Breakfast waitress (Mandy) was a delight 😊 far outshone the other staff members.

    As disabled I could really appreciate the accessibility of the hotel and room, included the bathroom. The room’s environment was immaculate clean. I could move around easily with the wheelchair. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. I would highly recommend this B&B.
