The style of the room decoration was thoughtful. Outside view was outstanding. Everything was very clean and bright. Staff was very frendly. A suitable place to enjoy the silence. There are restaurants not far from the hotel. Brakefast was very good.

Welcoming staff. Very friendly atmosphere. Upgraded without a problem due to a guest staying on longer in my allocated room. Excellent facilities. Warm and cozy. Relaxed with a few pints at the bar. Locals were very sociable.

We loved our stay at Anchor Hotel! Our room had a beautiful view over the habour. It was very clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We could walk to dinner- a great place called Lullabelle’s on the foreshore. Short drive to Kennacraig ferry. Great breakfast too. Highly recommend!

Beautifully appointed room with our own bathroom across the hall. Breakfast was amazing. Lovely outside area available to use. A full kitchen is available to use to make dinner if you want. We went to the Argyle Hotel which was well priced and delicious. Had great sea views as well. The cafe at Glenbarr serves good coffee and has lovely treats.

We were taken really good care of, we arrived late because of car trouble and the hosts welcomed us and helped us with getting some food and drinks and transport to our ferry to Islay the next day. Amazing home cooked breakfast also.
