The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were shown to our room and given the breakfast details. The four poster bed room was impressive with two large windows, high ceilings and two small lounge chairs. There was lots of hanging space in the large wooden wardrobe and the dressing table was also very handy. This large room was a pleasant space for our stay. A full English breakfast was served in the dining room. The staff accommodated our dietary needs. There was a variety of fruits on offer . Also cereal, juices and yogurt. This is a quiet place on the outskirts of Whitehaven a lovely place to stay for a few days while exploring this part of Cumbria.

The staff were especially lovely, friendly and accommodating. As a female staying alone (for work) I felt fully safe and looked after by every staff member I came across, they couldn’t do enough for me. Had a gorgeous meal for dinner, breakfast was equally lovely. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

From the moment we got there it was amazing! Donna and mark are amazing hosts! The best rental I have stayed in!! Can’t wait to return. We took our dog Molly for 2 nights. The local pub is just a short walk! The food there was very good too! Everything from the amazing welcome basket, the cleanliness, towels, bedding. Absolute 10 stars and well deserved! Donna has amazing taste! Property looks amazing and is very well thought out. Wonderful 2 nights! We will be back!!!! Thank you both so much for the super bottle of Prosecco for my birthday!     Can’t speak highly enough of our stay at The Nest.

    Can’t speak highly enough of our stay at The Nest. Being outside the national park meant no traffic or parking headaches. St Bees was a lovely beach to visit. Muncaster Castle is also definitely worth visiting.
