A pleasant, comfortable hotel with an excellent location. The staff and management are super friendly and on the guest side. They solved my problem caused by Air France and did not charge anything extra. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The best English breakfast ever.     As a suburb of Sunderland, Ryhope provides a useful base for exploring the wider area, but would likely not be a destination in itself, unless friends or family lived there. It is, however, easily accessible and within easy reach of beaches and places of interest (e.g. Beamish and Durham or the Northumberland coast). We ate out at two different excellent restaurants in Sunderland, which were only a few minutes drive away.
