    St Peter Port is Magical.

St Peter Port is Magical. The view from the sea or from the land to sea is beautiful. Theres a variety of restaurants and bars to choose from. Saturday evenings the town is ablaze with activity. I just love it.

Quite steep hills and narrow streets which add charm, but can be difficult for modern cars, which tend to be quite large. The Museum and Art Gallery in Candie Gardens are a bit out of the way, but well worth a visit

Lovely small town and we watched a regatta and an air show, so clearly a lot goes on - we were lucky but maybe could have checked events when booking. Buses from here go everywhere and drivers couldn't be more helpful - do get advice from Bus Shop next to terminus. Lots of interesting shops BUT very steep streets and lots of steps in old town - quaint and interesting but not for those challenged with walking. Lots of great places to eat - mainly on the seafront for us due to mobility issues, but did see others from the bus. Only one bad experience at the cafe near the bus terminus. All the boat trips go from here, but early so try and stay near the seafront to avoid early starts for trips! Boats do get booked up so book early, and be prepared with plan B as weather can stop sailings - it happened to us! Trip to Little Chapel recommended

Best to get hotel in town centre as access to round the island hop on/hop off bus and ferries to Sarn and Herm is on the quayside esplanade . Nice little town with a lot of small shops and restaurants. Bit disappointed that there weren’t many cafes or restaurants on the harbourside. German Occupation museum and German Naval Intelligence museum both worth a visit. Worth picking up a bus route and timetable from visitors centre as variety of routes available.

Friendliness of all the people there.

Friendliness of all the people there. Old Government House Hotel is the most wonderful accommodation at St Peter Port with the most amazing staff. There is nothing that that won’t do to assist with your requests.

It has everything the traveller needs good hotels or b&b’s, wine bar and good pubs for food and drink. Buses at the terminus to take you anywhere on the island. Handy for walks along the front and harbour and for the shops.

hot and cold Breakfast was included, I've stayed at hotels before where you pay extra for breakfast, and there was no issues adjusting what was offered to personal desires. I ate in the restaurant in the evening once and the food was nice The staff were great, pleasant and friendly. The room was excellent, bigger than my bedroom at home, clean, spacious

The 3 bed room was very spacious, beds were comfy and it was very clean. The communication back was good from my emails with queries, very prompt. The location was great, about 10 mins walk into St Peter Port. We hired bicycles and the hotel was very accommodating with where we could keep them overnight.
