    The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was wonderful. The room was larger than I thought it would be with an additional bed, no additional fee though :) There was everything I could have needed in the room - iron and ironing board, heater, fan, hair drier, tea, coffee and biscuits.

    Close M11 and Stansted.

    Close M11 and Stansted. A small village with some local shops. Good location to explore Essex and South Suffolk, lots of things to see nearby. The roads are narrow and there are lots of small villages with speed limits. A popular area for cyclists and bikers.

    The staff were very welcoming and pleasant. The food was exceptional, would use them again but unfortunately no more events expected in their location. Only negative was the man who helped serve breakfast, he was not dressed appropriately - it looked like pyjamas but likely shorts & T-shirt

    This hotel is much much better than staying at an anonymous chain hotel near Stanstead . It is only 15 minutes by car to the airport parking and car returns . The dinner and breakfast are excellent and the service is ver y pleasant . The young lady who served dinner and the more mature breakfast waitress were charming , welcoming and helpful. No breakfast bun fight , everything served at table in a pleasant quiet room and no need to get up and make your coffee from a stupid machine , a nice pot of coffee or tea etc . Very civilised !

    Everything, it’s a very clean & tidy hotel, food choice brilliant & very nice, breakfast brilliant, but it's the friendly staff & atmosphere that makes this a great place to stay. It's definitely going on my list of good stayaway pubs.
