Shottery is a stone throw away from Startford-upon-Avon.
Shottery is a stone throw away from Startford-upon-Avon. Its a lovely, historical walk to the historical centre. From the Shell petrol station you can easily walk to Anne Hathaway's, (Shakespeare's wife), cottage and pay a visit without worrying about car parking. Its all very beautiful. This was not so much character cottage, as tatty town house. It was grubby, dusty and uncomfortable. No free to air tv. There was a lack of the basics, like toilet paper and the kitchen seemed to be a repository for left over junk.Guest review bykayAustralia
