Delightful situation overlooking beach and islands. Very helpful staff. The only criticism would be lack of variety and cost of menu.

Though a little above our normal hotel budget, we were pleased to be very impressed with everything from the initial welcome on check in to the restaurant staff very friendly, welcoming and happy service. The hotel itself is lovely, well located for swims to either beach and well furnished and decorated. Lovely and clean and quality bedding, towels, toiletries etc. The restaurant was great for breakfast and we had dinner twice in the week and should have eaten here more often rather than trying other places in town. But the outstanding thing for me on this stay was the staff. Every one of them was wonderful.

Located on St Mary's, the largest island in the Isles of Scilly archipelago, Star Castle Hotel is just a short 5-minute walk from Hugh Town.

We loved the old world hotel with all mod cons. The staff were exceptional and the facilities in our room were kept topped up and some nice touches.
