This is a picturesque and idyllic part of Devon.
This is a picturesque and idyllic part of Devon. It's a pleasant location, surrounded by beautiful countryside with good views all round. The accommodation itself is just like being at home, very comfortable and cozy. The gentleman at reception was very welcoming despite our late arrival in the dark. The room was clean and comfortable, with a perfect ambient temperature when we got in. There is plenty of tea & coffee available with milk and biscuits! The shower was brilliant, great water pressure and temp, but can be a little slippery getting out. My favorite was the breakfast, full english along with toast, cereal and yogurt if you want it. All in all an enjoyable stay. Finally, I must mention the very helpful driving directions supplied by the owner when I booked; do read them, much better than relying on sat nav. One word of caution, do be prepared to drive extra carefully. The roads around this venue are very narrow with lots of twists and turns. Stoke Rivers is located way out in the countryside.
