Very rarely do you find such a property 2 living room with everything you need, very clean with everything set up from every point of view... with a feeling that you live in your own house ...( with all the facilities wahing mashine , detergent etc) I had all the information I needed... I was able to contact Paul very late in the evening and he answered me in 2 seconds .. a small house with a big heart ... if I have the chance to stay in Tutbury again I will definitely stay at Paul's house 14 Castlegate ... a small detail: you will have Milk, bread, honey, apples arranged in the kitchen!

The property was lovely, set in a leafy, quiet position. The hosts provided self serve breakfast provisions with a well appointed kitchen, and went to extra effort by leaving a welcome drink and chocolates. Parking was extremely good, off street and safe. I would recommend this property to all visitors to Uttoxeter.

I stayed here with a friend after a day at nearby Alton towers. It was a wonderful cottage, really beautifully decorated and very clean. The hosts were lovely and left a really nice snack hamper along with milk, butter, eggs. Loads of cookware, plates, glasses etc. The reclining sofa & Sky TV was a treat to relax to after a long day and the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up. Lovely accommodation and will be recommending to friends & family!

    Just about everything. Especially how friendly they are to travellers with dogs. Some hotels say pet friendly and they mean pet tolerant. The Boars Head is totally pet friendly welcoming and the reason I book myself and my team in there whenever I need to be in the area.

    The rooms were nice, clean and freshly done. The one big thing for us as a couple so many hotels have only one comfortable seat in there room and the second person has to sit on the bed or office chair. The boars head has two!

    Only had a bacon sandwich. Unusual as not normally on menu but exactly what I wanted. Only a quick stay as late arrival but everything I needed from hotel just off the main road.
