Nice hotel right on the coast at Tynemouth, near Cullercoats. A short walk to the lovely village at Tynemouth and alternatively in the other direction to Whitley Bay. Good restaurant and breakfast served daily sets you up for the day. Good choice if this is the area you seek to visit.

Our first visit toTynemouth and we were pleasantly surprised by what it had to offer. It has the feel of a small resort in that all the major attractions are within walking distance and it is not overwhelmed by tourists. It is also a very convenient base for taking the ferry across the Tyne to South Shields or the Metro into central Newcastle. It also gives very easy access for visiting the many ancient Roman sites in and around Hadrian's Wall. One particular highlight was eating at Riley's Fish Shack, scenically beautiful as it is located on a quiet beach below Tynemouth Priory. The fresh sea food served there was amazing.

    Excellent place to stay.

Excellent place to stay. Beautiful clean beaches of which some are dog friendly. Plenty of lovely restaurants and bars nearly all dog friendly especially Allards and Lola Jeans retaurants in Tynemouth village. Lots of interesting historical places to visit. You can drive along the coastal road to visit St Martins lighthouse and Whitley Bay.

Tynemouth is a really nice area to visit. the beaches are lovely and there are many places to eat however I would suggest that you head slightly out of Tynemouth toward North Shields and turn down to the quayside, the fish dishes available there are really good.

Lovely beaches. Good walks along promenade and further. Castle/priory very picturesque. Walk down to mouth of river for good views and more interesting sites to visit. Front Street very pleasant with some good restaurants. Metro and buses allow exploration further afield. You can be in Newcastle city centre in about 30 minutes.

Good location close to Tynemouth easy to walk or drive. No issues with street parking. Good size apartment and loved the large TV in the lounge. I could not get the bedroom TV to work but having the large TV made up for this. The sofa was great to relax on. Well equipped kitchen. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Lots of towels and of good quality.

Buffet breakfast offered a good choice of cold and well-cooked food, plenty of room to sit down. The hotel’s location on the sea front was ideal. The refurbishment of the thirties-modern exterior was well done and the interior decor was crisp.
