We like walking and sightseeing as well as exploring, trying...
We like walking and sightseeing as well as exploring, trying new things and chilling. We booked Warton as it is the south end of the Lake district and it meant a shorter journey for us, close enough to then have days out around the lakes. Carnforth is in easy walking distance, only a couple of miles, and it is a pretty village with a canal and The County restaurant, which we loved. The food there is excellent. On a canal walk, we also found Hest Bank Hotel, on the side of the canal, and we had a glorious lunch there; the staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is an easy drive to Windermere and Coniston lakes, and not far from Morecombe Bay, which has a vast and lovely beach with a wide and interesting promenade that goes all the way to the next village. We found a great wine bar/coffee house in Morecombe called Brittlestar. Great for a light bite.Guest review byKimUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Lovely area, matured garden's with maintained fishing ponds and lawns, very accessible and perfectly located for lakes, coastlines and local attractions, warton village is picturesque, quiet and relaxing, very pet friendly and in abundance with wildlife, ponds and nature trails, within easy reach of local shops and local people are very friendly.Guest review byDianeUnited Kingdom
