I would have liked to have given a better review but unfortunately we had an issue with a faulty oven & hob. Although the electrician attended he was unable to rectify the issue concluding a new oven was required. This left us with only the hob which also tripped out if using more than one ring. Gordon offered us a full refund if we booked out after one night. However this was not acceptable as we had events planned for Saturday. Also, as we had planned to self cater we had bought in food which was wasted and we had to dine out with unexpected expenditure. i.e Friday evening & Saturday evening. Gordon offered a reduction of £100.00 which we thought reasonable, & accepted. Great location for Breamish Museum and Durham.
Great location for Breamish Museum and Durham. The Gallery's shopping centre just down the road. Very good bus service to these places if you do not want to take your car which we took advantage of. Staff/breakfast fantastic. Room poorly furnished,very dated & rusty/cracked bathroom fittings,no bathroom heating. Good free parking available,but only 2 disabled spaces. The disabled room (no.29)was 14 room lengths away down a corridor from the disabled parking space making carrying luggage very difficult.& return visits to car very tiring.
