    One day we visited the West Lavington Manor Open Garden Day - very close to Rose Barn. That was excellent. Nearby walks up Stibbe Hill to Salisbury Plain, and across the fields to Market Lavington are worthwhile.

    For drinks the pub (The Churchill) in the village has a nice beer garden but wasn't doing food when we were there. Good pub grub in a nearby village; within walking distance from the cottage (The Green Dragon) and they have a lovely Great Dane! This village also has a Co op.
