It was what I expected.
It was what I expected. It was very rural, but wonderful for a city dweller to sample country life, from shooting parties to exceptional night skies, sunsets & sunrises, to pheasants and partridges running around everywhere. There were options to drive to nearby market towns on country roads to enjoy surrounding areas, or simply walk the trails to take in the views in the clean country air. The room was very large, and very comfortable. Before arriving, on a Sunday, we received a phone call asking if we would like a roast Sunday lunch on our arrival ( of course we did ) It was really excellent - Huge, and tasty. The setting is beautiful, right on the river, you can hear the water rushing past. Breakfast is fabulous as is the restaurant, really good food and staff member Holly was delightful.
